<p>Bindi Irwin has shared a sweet tribute to her husband Chandler Powell as the couple celebrate an important anniversary. </p> <p>The wildlife warrior couple posted a heartfelt snap to Instagram, celebrating that it had been four years since they got engaged. </p> <p>Bindi said yes when Chandler popped the question in 2019, after the pair met in late 2013 when they were teenagers.</p> <p>Irwin posted a photo to Instagram, showing the couple embracing in front of sunlit bushland.</p> <p>“Exactly four years ago, I said ‘yes’. Bindi Irwin’s unexpected wedding news

<p>Bindi Irwin has opened up about the future of her relationship with husband Chandler Powell, sharing that the two have every intention of renewing their vows. </p> <p>The beloved Australian conservationist wed Chandler in March 2020, just before Australia’s COVID-19 restrictions saw weddings restricted to include no more than five people. This meant, of course, that the happy couple could not have some of their nearest and dearest share in their happy day. </p> <p>“Personally, I'd love to renew our vows one day when Grace is older,” Bindi explained in a candid interview with <em>Hello! Magazine</em>. “It would be lovely to have our closest friends and family with us to celebrate.”</p> <p>And while there may have been no small number of absences at the ceremony, Bindi and Chandler were far from alone, with Bindi adding that “our animals are part of our family. Even though we couldn't have all the human guests we wanted at our wedding, we were grateful to spend the day with the wildlife we love so dearly. </p> <p>“Getting married during the pandemic was certainly a strange experience, but an important reminder that love always wins.”</p> <p>In 2020, Bindi had shared a post to social media about the “very difficult decision” to go ahead with their wedding with the reduced guest list, and wrote of how they were “encouraging the world to hold onto hope and love, which will carry us forward.” </p> <p>Now, it seems, the wildlife warrior is ready to take that hope and to move forward, especially as “we have our gorgeous daughter which makes persevering with our wedding even sweeter.” </p> <p>She didn’t have any specifics to share about the next ceremony, but Bindi did spend some time in her interview reflecting on the 2020 event, sharing everything from the story of her dress to the emotion of her brother walking her down the aisle. </p> <p>“Ever since I was a little girl I've known that I wanted a wedding dress similar to my mum's gorgeous gown,” Bindi confessed, going on to note that the gown in question had been in the family for almost 60 years. She went on to reveal that her dress, one created by an Australian boutique, was “even more perfect than I had imagined.”</p> <p>The family’s day wasn’t only a tribute to Bindi and Chandler’s love, with the Irwins making sure to include the late Steve in their celebration - as well as the family’s furry friend.</p> <p>“On the day we had a candle-lighting ceremony in honour of Dad,” Bindi said, “alongside my favourite photo of him and our family dog, Sui.”</p> <p>She noted that it had “meant the world” to be able to pay tribute to her dad on a day that meant so much to her, and for her brother to have accepted the momentous honour of escorting her down the aisle to her future husband. </p> <p>“I’m forever thankful,” she shared, “for his friendship and support.” </p> <p><em>Images: Instagram</em></p>

Chandler Powell chimes in after Bindi Irwin takes a break from social media

<p>Robert Irwin is celebrating his 17th birthday, and his older sister Bindi has paid homage to the teen croc hunter the best way she knows how.</p> <p>While Bindi has reached the halfway milestone in her pregnancy, it didn’t stop her from penning an emotional tribute to her brother on his special day.</p> <p>"Happy birthday to my amazing brother! Your kind heart and fantastic sense of humour makes my every day," she wrote alongside some photos of Robert walking her down the aisle at her wedding in March.</p> <p>"Our baby girl is going to love her 'funcle' [fun uncle] so very much. One of your jobs is to jump into the water with our biggest crocs to help encourage them home! They say there’s a moment when you know you’ve fallen in love with someone, for me it was watching you happily jump in the water with a 15 foot crocodile and then tell me how much you enjoyed it. <p>Wedding planning continues for the bride and groom-to-be, Chandler Powell and Bindi Irwin. </p> <p>The 21-year-old is proving to be well-prepared so far and has already locked in the Australia Zoo for her venue as well as her wedding gown. </p> <p>Now, Bindi is focussing her attention on another major feature for her big day: the wedding cake.</p> <p>The wildlife star shared a photo of herself, her fiance, her mother Terri Irwin and loved ones as they sampled a number of flavours while wedding cake testing on Sunday. </p> <p>Wedding cake tasting together has been one of the best planning moments so far. I'm beyond grateful to have the love and support of this amazing group in my life," the daughter of the late Steve Irwin wrote in the caption of the adorable picture. </p> <p>"This might have been my favorite planning moment yet." Chandler wrote not too soon after the photo was posted. </p> <p>Last month, Bindi’s little brother, Robert, revealed his sister is already completely invested in her wedding planning just months after Chandler proposed with a gorgeous two-carat,m vintage oval diamond on July 24 - Bindi’s 21st birthday. </p> <p>"This might have been my favorite planning moment yet."</p> <p>"Bindi is in planning mode, she's incredible. She's got all the colour-coded binders," the 15-year-old told<span> </span><a rel="noopener" href="https://people.com/" target="_blank">People<span> </span></a>magazine. </p> <p>Bindi playfully added, "Saving the world and planning a wedding. It's tough! <p>Bindi Irwin is set to wed Chandler Powell next year at Australia Zoo and now Bindi Irwin has revealed she will honour her late father, the iconic Steve Irwin, at the ceremony. </p> <p>The conservationist and animal expert has been carrying out the Crocodile hunter’s legacy since he passed away in 2006 alongside her family, revealed that her brother and mother will become an important part of the special day. </p> <p>“I really want to include Dad on the day and make sure that he is with us in some way,” Bindi told<span> </span>People.</p> <p>“Just little bits of Dad that will make it feel like he’s there with us.”</p> <p>Bindi says her and Chandler will hold a candle lighting ceremony for Steve. </p> <p>“So we’ll be able to all get up as a little family and light a candle in his honour and share a few words on what an amazing dad he was and still is.”</p> <p>Bindi announced her engagement to Chandler on her 21st birthday in July, after the couple had been dating for over six years. </p> <p>Steve irwin passed away on the documentary series<span> </span>Ocean’s Deadliest<span> </span>when he was attacked by a stingray off the coast of the Great Barrier Reef on September 4, 2006. He was 44. </p> <p>“Out of everyone in our family, Dad would always get the most emotional out of everyone,” Bindi said. </p> <p>“We’re all very emotional people, but Dad, anytime we would achieve anything as kids, he would just start crying. </p> <p>“I remember the first time I ever filmed with little ants on camera, I was telling the camera that these little ants are so important to protect and he just started crying.”</p> <p>“It was really special that he was the one that was so excited about the big moments in our lives and there isn’t a bigger moment that I can think of than getting married to Chandler,” she added. </p> <p>“It’s going to be a really special day.”</p>
